The modern-day lifestyle looks amazing from outside as we are now equipped with many scientific and technological marvels which a decade ago, were not even imaginable but the same lifestyle has made us vulnerable to many ailments. Diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure are devouring a majority of the population and since there is no permanent cure for such diseases, people are left with no other options than depending on synthetic drugs for their whole life. There are multiple ways through which one can maintain a healthy mind like exercise, healthy diet, yoga, but most of the people don’t want to put much effort to maintain their pace on the tracks of a healthy lifestyle. That’s where the ‘Reward-To-Effort’ ratio comes into play. Any practice which gives better reward with minimum effort is considered to have high ‘Reward-To-Effort’ ratio and in this blog post, we are going to talk about 4 such practices which you can easily fit into your lifestyle and speed up your journey of being healthy. Oil pulling All the unhealthy stuff we eat on daily basis like the fried food, fast food, processed food are very difficult for the body to digest and that’s why they stick to the walls of the intestine and make a coating of bacteria, viruses, and moulds. So you need to flush out these diseases causing toxins from your body and the easiest way to do so is through oil pulling. In this process, you just need to put a tablespoon of mustard oil or coconut oil in your mouth and then swish it for around 10-15 min but be careful not to swallow. Then you need to spit the oil into the trash instead of the sink as it will block the pipe. This simple process maintains your oral health and takes out the toxin from your body as well. Drinking water from a copper vessel Storing water in a copper vessel overnight and then drinking it in the morning on an empty stomach can have miraculous effects on your health. Copper vessels act as a natural purifier and it can kill every type of bacteria, microorganism, and molds present in the water. Along with that, drinking water from copper vessel improves digestion, heals wounds faster, slows down aging, minimizes the risk of cancer, regulates the working of thyroid gland, and beats arthritis and inflamed joints. So, just by drinking a glass of water stored in copper vessel overnight, you can have numerous health advantages. Nasal cleansing yoga Nasal cleansing yoga or Jal neti is one of the six purification processes mentioned in the ancient Ayurveda. It is a very simple process which can be practiced in the morning with just a glass of water, a neti pot and pinch of salt. You just need to lean forward and insert the nozzle of the pot into that nostril which is active. After that, you need to let the lukewarm water mixed with a pinch of salt to flow in through one nostril and out through the other nostril. During this process, you need to keep your mouth opened. After finishing half of the water from the pot, put it down, clear your nostril and then start the same process with the water left in pot through your other nostril. This nasal cleansing yoga helps in headache, sinusitis, cough and cold, insomnia, grey hair, eye disease, drowsiness and much more. Drinking turmeric milk Turmeric is an Indian spice which is full of healthy properties and you should know that drinking a glass of milk mixed with turmeric before bed can offer you multiple health benefits. Drinking turmeric milk or what is popularly known as the golden milk acts as an anti-aging tonic and it also fastens the recovery from any type of physical injury. Turmeric also has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties and that’s why the golden milk is considered as a complete health package. In order to make a perfect glass of golden milk, you just need to add 3/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder in your hot milk along with 1 teaspoon of honey (for taste). You should always drink the golden milk just before going to bed. So, if you will follow these healthy benefits on daily basis then just after a month, you will start noticing the positive changes in your body and since none of them require too much effort, you can easily adjust them in your lifestyle.
